I'M LOSING IT!

Apologies peeps. If there's anything that's stopping Mr Genki from updating this blog, it would be nothing more than sheer indolence...

Comforts of everyday routine, the security of the familiar and the tranquility of repitition. Mr Genki do enjoy them as any bloke does. The loss of such cannot be further elaborated by the move to your friendly neighbourhood of NUS...

To those who still have the time to drop by and check if there's still life here, thanks loads. Mr Genki is quite sure that many of those who dropped by wanted to find out how he's doing in NTU.

Well, Mr Genki should say, it's going to take me some time to adapt to a entirely new environment. Toggling between two different media of conversation is one. And the worst of all would be the ultimate cultural destruction, i.e bad food!

Much as he had guessed, he'll never be able to adapt to the latter. The Japanese food there is much of a destruction to his pseudo-culture. And Western? Much to his aversion, it's total annihilation. He's starting to miss Edward from NUS Biz Western, though some may find him a little short on patience. But truth be told, in Mr Genki's opinion, they make good western food. And the only thing that Mr Genki find acceptable in NTU so far is Muslim food.

Of course there's always two sides to a coin. Being cheap in quality also means cheap in price. That's why price is always a good guide in a market. $0.30 is all Mr Genki needs to get a drink in the canteen. $0.40 for a cup of coffee. He remembers getting some mediocre chup chye peng with a huge piece of sardine, egg and veges for $1.90.

And speaking of sardines, Mr Genki never fail to feel like one travelling to and from your friendly neighbourhood. Since there's only one public bus service that'll cover the whole population of NTU, it all make sense for why we have to be sealed in ketchup. Thankfully, but not enough, SBS does increase the frequency of the buses in an attempt to alleviate the situation. But still, NOT enough. If you are accurate enough to hit a peak hour, it'll be like queueing up to place bet for $10million TOTO prize money.

Mr Genki has to say, he needs more time. And if you've noticed, he always complain and ramble, once in a while. And he believes that he's a bit too rusty for blogging already. Which explains why he took quite sometime to churn out such shallow thoughts for a superficial entry. I need my English speaking company back! I'm in search for the kind of humour that I once had! I'm LOSING IT! ARGH!
